Mamie Nolen McAlister, 91, of Greenville Living Center, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Born in Slabtown, TN, she was a daughter of the late Frank R. and Cora Stewart Nolen and wife of the late Wesley Jefferson Jeff McAlister. Mrs. McAlister retired from Monaghan Mill. She was a loving caregiver all her life and a member of Monaghan Methodist Church. Surviving are four sons, Robert McAlister and wife Mary Sis of Sharon, SC, Frank J. McAlister and wife Anna Sue of Canton, GA, Dan McAlister and wife Carolyn of Fountain Inn, and Ray N. McAlister and wife Frances of Piedmont; a sister, Margie Smith and husband Jim, of Dallas, NC; a brother, Edward Nolen and wife Evelyn, of Mt. Holly, NC; a son-in-law, Rev. Paul Wilson, of Gray Court; eighteen grandchildren and forty-three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth McAlister Wilson; a sister, Frankie N. Massey; and three brothers, Lloyd Nolen, J.A. ?Buck? Nolen, and James ?Jay? Nolen. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7:00 ? 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. Flowers are accepted, however memorials may be made to Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at 433 McNeely Road, Piedmont.
