Margaret B. Deatrick, 87, married to the late Robert S. Deatrick for 62 years, passed away in Greer December 20, 2007. Mrs. Deatrick formerly resided at The Gardens at Eastside in Greenville. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Walter D. and Elizabeth D. Butterworth. She was predeceased by sister Lillian Schmidt. The Deatricks were residents of Dumont, NJ for 35 years and in their retirement years divided their time between Medusa, NY and Naples, FL. family. Mrs. Deatrick became a resident of Greenville in 2004 and was a parishioner at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Simpsonville. Mrs. Deatrick is survived and beloved by sister Mildred Mercadante, brother Walter D. Butterworth, children Nancy D. La Rocca and husband John of Medusa, NY, Marilyn D. Knoblauch and her husband Peter of Greenville, and William C. Deatrick and wife Kathleen of Aurora, IL; nine grandchildren, Michael Knoblauch and wife B.J. of GE, Patricia Knoblauch, Scott Knoblauch, David Knoblauch and wife Lori, all of Greenville, Mark LaRocca and wife Nina, Elizabeth Whiteman and husband Robert of NY, Christine Markey and husband Evan, and John Deatrick all of CA, and Meaghan Deatrick of IL; great-grandchildren, John, Katie and Matthew Knoblauch, Sophie and Ellie Whiteman, Kibo and Kyesa LaRocca, Rachel and Cole Knoblauch and Hannah Knoblauch and a large extended family. Any donations may be made in Mrs. Deatrick?s memory to the American Cancer Society. There will be a funeral Mass and burial in Medusa, NY in early 2008.
