Margaret Bishop Leary

Margaret Bishop Leary, 80, formerly of 212 Eastbourne Road, died Friday, October 17, 2008. Born in Pelzer, SC, Mrs. Leary was the widow of Milton G. Leary, and the daughter of the late John H. and Mattie Mattison Bishop. She was a retired Surgical Technician with Greenville Hospital System and was a member of West Greenville Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Mission Action Group, W.M.U., and Harvesters Senior Citizens Group. She is survived by two sons, Larry Lamont Leary of Johnson City, TN, and Donnie Wayne Leary of Richmond, KY; a sister, Catherine Forister of Greenville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Bishop Burrell and a brother, John LaFoy Bishop. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in the Northwest Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, with visitation prior to the service from 10:45 until 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605. The family will be at their respective homes.
