Margaret Hanna White

Margaret Hanna White, 89, died Monday, September 15, 2008 at St. Francis, Downtown. Born in Wedgefield, SC, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Lenora Celeste Andrews Nunnery. Mrs. White was a retired seamstress and member of Laurens Road United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. and Shelby Hanna of Piedmont; a grandson, Michael Hanna; a brother, Larry Nunnery of Florence; and two sisters, Bessie Fowler of Long Branch, NJ and Celeste Jones of Atlanta, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George V. Hanna and her second husband, Herbert C. White. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at Noon in the chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence, 222 Carolina Avenue, Greenville.
