Margaret Pearson Few

Mother arrived in Heaven at approximately 6:02 a.m., E.S.-earth time on August 26, 2008. For the Bible declares: "absent from the body, present with the Lord" II Cor. 5:8. She was met by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her beloved husband, the Rev. Samuel Asbury Few, parted 19 years, her parents, Lillie and Henry Durant Pearson, eternal sweethearts, her siblings, Nellie, Ruth, Annie, Marvin and Toy; her great grandson, Austin, and a host of friends. She is survivied by her children: Rev. Richard L. Few and wife, Peggy; Dianne Few Matthews; Brenda Few Nix and husband, Joe; Judy Few Byrd and husband, Phil. Her beloved grand and great grandchildren: Richie L. Few and wife, Misty, their children, Elishah and Madison; Brian K. Few and wife, Charissa, their children Noah and Landon; Cherie H. Gilstrap and her children, Amanda Paige and Jacob Allen; Stacee Harrelson Singleton and husband, Atty. Max Singleton, their children, Maxwell Bryson and Taylor Lofton, Jordan Campbell and Sylvia Ashelon Harrelson; Joseph "Joey" Scott Nix, Bryant Pearson Nix, Dr. Ashley Nix Allen and husband, Dr. Corey Allen, their son, Watts Allen; Phillip Chad Byrd and Jason Ray Byrd. Her siblings: Gladys Nichols, Betty Johnson and Albert Pearson. A prayer warrior evidenced by her prayer journals and those who knew her. "Remember to pray for all involved when you hear the sound of a siren and always pray for all the little children, our leadership and our world." She was the kindest, most gentle person who truly never spoke a harsh word. Loyal and diligent, her lessons were taught by observing her life. Her children most fortunate; her daughter and sons "in loves", grand and great grandchildren, family and friends attest to a true example of Proverbs 31 and a "sunbeam for Jesus." She was a 27 year veteran with GHS. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 29, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel with the Rev. Steven Bowen, Set-Free Christian Fellowship and Rev. George Moore, Mercy Christian Outreach. Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.
