Margaret S. Williams

Margaret Smith Williams, 75, of 8 Bragg Street, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at North Greenville Longterm Care. Born in Slater, SC she was the widow of Joseph Weldon Williams and a daughter of the late Richard Albert and Lois Mae Coke Smith. Mrs. Williams worked 45 years for Old Dominion Box Company and she was a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church for 35 years where she was a member of the Ladies Prayer Circle and was a faithful member of the choir. Surviving are a daughter, Lois Diane Thacker and husband Lonnie of Travelers Rest; four sons, Kenny Williams, Wayne Williams and wife, Sandy all of the home, Tony Williams and wife, Joann, Roger Williams and wife, Donna, all of Travelers Rest; a sister, Angeline Smith Owens and husband, Bill of Simpsonville; a brother, Albert Wandell Smith of Mauldin; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12 noon on Tuesday at Truth Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Graceland West Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 pm Monday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The Ladies Prayer Circle will be Honorary Pallbearers. The family will be at the home of Roger Williams, 126 Clearview Rd., Travelers Rest.
