Margaret Wright Moore

Margaret Wright Moore, 85, widow of James Spooner Moore, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at White Oak Estates, Spartanburg. Born in Washington, DC., she was the daughter of the late John H. and Dorothy Jones Wright. Earlier in her life she taught elementary school in Virginia. She later ran a small business making shell and sand dollar jewelry. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Mount Pleasant, SC and formerly a long time member of St. Martin?s ? in ? the ? Fields Episcopal Church, Columbia, SC. There, she helped establish the children?s library and taught Sunday school. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy M. and Gary Harris of Winston- Salem, NC.; two sons and daughters-in-law, William R. and Chanell Moore of Greenville, Richard H. and Debi Moore of Charlotte, NC.; a sister, Dorothy W. Creal of Toronto, Canada; six grandchildren, Justin, Rembert, Sully, Lauren and, Holden Moore, and Christopher Harris. She was preceded in death by a son, James DuBose Moore. Memorials may be made to St. Martin?s ? in- the ?Fields Episcopal Church, 5220 Clemson Avenue, Columbia, SC 29206. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 2:00 PM at St. Martin?s- in- the ?Fields Episcopal Church, Columbia, SC. Visitation will follow the service at the church.
