Margie Whitaker Edmonds

Margie Whitaker Edmonds, 59, of 111 Hammett Street, died Friday, February 24, 2006. Born in Gaffney, SC, Mrs. Edmonds was the daughter of the late Amos E., Sr., and Margaret Burgess Whitaker. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Peeler and her husband, Wayne; three grandchildren, Leslie, Samantha and Jacob Peeler, all of Gaffney, SC; a sister, Betty Timms; a brother, Jack Whitaker, both of Greenville; and several nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Underwood and her step-mother, Grace Gault Whitaker. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2006 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville County Cancer Society, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605. The family will be at the residence.
