Marion Sylvester Mitchell, Jr

February 2, 1944 - June 3, 2006
Marion S. Mitchell, Jr. of 12 7th Street, Conestee, went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2006 at the age of 62. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Marion S. Mitchell, Sr. and Ola Mae Grimsey. Surviving are a son, Michael Mitchell and his wife Kim of Conestee, a daughter, Miranda Siggers and her husband Johnny of Greenville; a sister, Marla Willard of Greenville; a brother, Jerry Mitchell of Anderson; and three grandchildren, Payton Mitchell, Syd Freeman and Kaylea Siggers. He was preceded in death by a son, Marion ?Mitch? S. Mitchell, III. and a sister, Gail Brewer. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
