Marjorie Kestner Cooper

Marjorie Kestner Cooper, 96, wife of the late Jesse L. Cooper died Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Born in Abingdon, VA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Lily Mae Davenport Kestner. Mrs. Cooper was retired from Cone Mills and a member of Park Place Church of God, where she was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class, and a generous supporter of ministries. Surviving is her brother, Smith E. Kestner of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cooper was predeceased by three sisters and seven brothers. The funeral service will be Friday, May 23, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605. A special thanks to the staff of NHC Greenville and Cares Hospice Program. The family will be at their respective homes.
