Mark E. Taylor

Mark E. Taylor, 65, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of Ed and Janie Chapman Taylor.

Mark’s strong appreciation for education began early while attending Blythe Elementary, Hughes Middle, and Greenville High Schools. His post-graduate work was done at Furman and Wake Forest Universities culminating in his earning an MBA from Wake Forest University Babcock School of Management. Mark’s career included several positions in the trucking industry before settling into a banking position in Baltimore, Maryland. After attaining several of his career goals, Mark returned to Greenville and helped care for his parents. Mark had a great command of the piano and enjoyed playing into his adulthood. He loved animals and had several pets over his lifetime.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by two sisters, Jill Purdy (Dennis) and Diann Rollins.

His brother-in-law, Arthur R. (Sonny) Rollins, Jr. preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum followed by the funeral at 1:30 p.m. with entombment to follow.
