Marshall “Sam” Sanford Duncan, 81, beloved husband, of Cynthia Duncan passed away on February 3, 2024.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Cecil and Vera Duncan.
Sam was known for his unwavering faith and love for the Lord, he found solace and joy in singing gospel music. Throughout his life, he lent his harmonious voice to various singing groups, sharing his talent and spreading the message of faith. Sam’s voice touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impression on those who were fortunate enough to witness his talents.
In addition to his loving wife of twenty-eight years he is survived by two daughters, Teresa Kates (Davon) and Davina Overcash (Larry); a son, Jeff Duncan (Amanda); six grandchildren; sister, Jerri Carter; brother, Joel Duncan; and sister- in-law, Janice Duncan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Duncan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 10:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made in honor of Sam to the charity of one’s choice.
