Martha Jean Brooks

Martha Jean Brooks, 71, of 9 Vernon Creek Ct., went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 9, 2007. Born April 3, 1936, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Len Jordan and the late Effie May Smith. Ms. Brooks was a member of Life Springs Church of God and a retiree of the Greenville Quilt Gallery. She is survived by three sons, David Moore, Jr., Perry Moore and wife Wanda all of Greenville, and Robin Moore of the home; one daughter, Jean Moore, also of the home; two grandchildren, Angel and Melissa Moore, of Greenville; two great-grandchildren, Destini Hooper and David Sebastian Moore, of Greenville; two sisters and one brother. Preceding her in death are daughter Theresa Moore; and grandson David Odel Moore who thought of her as a mother; a brother, Leon Jordan; and a sister, Margie Wood. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 ? 7:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at the residence. Ms. Brooks was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
