Martha S. Edwards

Martha Louise Simpson Edwards, 81, of 25 Broadway Drive, died on Monday, September 26, 2005. Born in Greenville she was a daughter of the late Jesse James and Dorothy Miller Simpson and wife of the late Charles Edward Edwards. Mrs. Edwards retired from the Greenville County School District. She was a member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 1552, the Easley Bowling League and the Greenville Bowling League. Surviving are a daughter, Terry Gail Edwards Simmons and her husband Buddy, of Pelzer; a sister, Earlene Watson, of Greenville; two brothers, Glennon and Joe Simpson, both of Pickens; six grandchildren, Tosha Moody, Shannon Pearson, Vicky Smith, Billy Smith, Carl Smith, Jr., and Patrick Smith; and five great grandchildren, Christopher Moody, Cannion Pearson, Tommy Smith, David Smith, P.J. Smith, and Daniel Lee. She is predeceased by three children, Roger Dale Edwards, Linda Charlene Edwards, and Dorothy Annette Edwards Smith; two brothers, Jesse James Simpson, Jr., and Charles Simpson; and two sisters, Joyce Annette Koch and Betty Jean Simpson. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 ? 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at the residence.
