Martha S. Thomas, 76, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Born in Simpsonville, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Etta Mahaffey Spillers. She was married to John H. Thomas on April 16, 1949. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas celebrated 59 years together. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a member of Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Teresa Futrell of Greenville; two sons, Gary Thomas and wife Gail of Easley, and Randall Thomas and wife Terrie of Fountain Inn; two sisters, Ethel Lee Garrett and Nancy Cunningham, both of Simpsonville; four granddaughters; one grandson; and seven great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church, 19 Sidney St., Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held at Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church on Friday, February 22, 2008 at noon. Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
