Marva Maureen Musser McManaway, 78, formerly of 218 Ashmore Bridge Road, died August 8, 2004 at Emory Eastside Medical Center, Snellville, GA. Born in Kalamazoo, MI, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Pearl Elsey Musser and the widow of Leroy McManaway. She was the owner and operator of Vaughn Russell Candy Co. for over 35 years. Mrs. McManaway was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Joan Matheny of Greenville; a son, Vaughn McManaway and his wife, Donna, of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Neva Nehring of Kalamazoo, MI; four grandchildren, Michael Matheny and his wife, Joy, of Fountain Inn, Steven Matheny and his wife, Nicole, of Simpsonville, Heather and Candice McManaway of Atlanta, GA; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Mallory Matheny. Visitation will be held from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at 4 Hartwell Drive, Simpsonville.
