Marvelin Isaac Bass, III, 22, of 15 Villa Road, Apt. 114, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Greenville County, he was a 2004 graduate of Woodmont High School and was employed with Wendy?s. He attended Earle Street Baptist Church. Surviving are his father and step-mother, Marvelin ?Mib? and Kathy Bass of Honea Path; mother and step-father, Valerie C. and Jeff Creel of Wellford; two sisters, Christian Bass of Honea Path, Sabrina Aguilar of Lyman; a brother, Robin Bass of Honea Path; step- grandmother, Jo Ann Creel of Spartanburg; an aunt, Darlene Cox of the home; an uncle and aunt, Barry and Joan Cox of Gray Court; cousins, Christopher Bridges, Keith, Cindy and Peyton Suttles, Nate Prather; and two step uncles, Kookie and Todd Creel both of Spartanburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Shelton; an aunt, Patty Suttles; paternal grandparents, Marvelin I. and Lillian Teresa Bass; and maternal grandparents, Jackie and Bessie Cooper. Memorials may be made to Greenville County Cancer Society, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
