Marvin W. Gosnell, 86, of 8 Wrigley Street, husband of Willie Mae Jones Gosnell, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Laurens County, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna Belle Wells Gosnell. Mr. Gosnell was retired from J.P. Stevens-Dunean and was a member of Dunean Baptist Church and the Steadfast Sunday School class. He was a member of the Dunean Masonic Lodge #359, the American Legion Post #3 and was a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 64 years, are a daughter, Shirley Moore of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Don M. and Daisy Gosnell of Taylors; two sisters, Marcella Earls of Blacksburg, Josephine Dobbins of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Scott Moore and his wife Angel, Christie M Benton and her husband Lee, Jennifer and Amanda Gosnell; and three great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Dunean Baptist Church, 21 Allen Street, Greenville, SC 29605 or to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 31, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
