Mary Addie Ready Ayers

October 22, 1932 - June 10, 2006
Mary Addie Ready Ayers, 73, of 2A Spring Street, Piedmont died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at her residence. Born in Allendale, she was a daughter of the late Fletcher McKinley and Sarah Williams Ready. Mrs. Ayers was a graduate of Allendale High School Class of 1950, a member of Piedmont First Baptist Church, the TEL ? Ruth Sunday School Class, WMU Group IV, and The Mother?s Club, where she served as Vice President and residing President. Surviving are two daughters, Jane Ayers Fleming and husband Tom of Piedmont; R. Renee? Ayers of Greenville; two sons, M. Greg Ayers of Piedmont and Ronnie W. Ayers and wife Tammy of Easley; seven grandchildren, Charity Ayers Hazel, Emily, Will and Myles Ayers, Warren Musselman, and Matthew and Lindsey Fleming; four great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby R. Till of Orangeburg; and brother, William T. Ready of Allendale. Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lee Ayers and two brothers, Fletcher M. Ready, II and Richard B. Ready. A Memorial Celebration will be held Tuesday at Noon at First Baptist Church Piedmont. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until Noon in the Morgan Building. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church Piedmont, 8 First Baptist Church Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673; St. Francis Hospice, 414-A Pettigru St., Greenville, SC 29601; or The Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave, Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at the home of Jane and Tom Fleming, 7 Merry Oak Trail, Piedmont. – Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
