Mary Ann Robas Tomsic

April 22, 1921 - August 17, 2007
Mary Ann Robas Tomsic, 86, of 402 Providence Way, Easley, formerly of Merrittstown, PA, died Friday, August 17, 2007, at Palmetto Baptist Hospital in Easley. Born in Smithfield, PA, she was the daughter of John and Mary Mezan Robas and widow of Frank Tomsic. Mrs. Tomsic was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens and Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Republic, PA. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Rose Tomsic of the home; one brother, Leo Robas and wife Pauline of Indianapolis, IN; an adopted grandson, Rev. C. Thomas Miles of Pickens; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tomsic was preceded in death by a son, Frank Paul Tomsic; a grandson, Timothy Michael Tomsic; and two sisters, Olga Gadient and Rose MacDougall. A Rosary will be held Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home with visitation following. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Republic, PA. Visitation will be held Friday, August 24, 2007, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home. The Rite of Committal will be in Lafayette Memorial Park, Briar Hill, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foothills Humane Society, 500 Five Forks Rd., Liberty, SC 29671 or to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 558 Hampton Ave., Pickens, SC 29671.
