Mary E. Odom, 97, formerly of 104 Highlawn Avenue, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Oakmont West Nursing Center. Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Tuttle and Dicie Jamison Sanders and wife of the late George D. Odom. Mrs. Odom retired from Monaghan Mill and was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church. Surviving are a son-in-law, Carl T. Thomas and wife Estelle, of Gainesville, FL; three grandchildren, Glen Thomas of Manning, Wayne Thomas of Gainesville, FL, and Terri Beach of Gainesville, FL; a cousin, Alta Lucille Babb, of Greenville; and three great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a daughter, Peggy Thomas; and a sister, Viola Crumpton. Services will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 10:45 ? 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. Memorial may be made to Monaghan Baptist Church Building Fund, 1500 W. Parker Road, Greenville, SC 29617. The family is at 104 Highlawn Avenue.
