Mary Ellen Copeland Hamby, 92, widow of Troy A. Hamby, died Sunday, December 23, 2007 in Simpsonville, S.C.
Born in Colleton County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Jefferson and Mabel Carter Copeland.
She was employed with the Greenville County School District and was a member of Fair Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving is a daughter Donna Spearman and husband Steve of Mauldin, SC, and a brother Enoch Copeland of Greenville, SC.
Memorials may be made to Briarwood Nursing Center, 721 West Curtis Street, Simpsonville, S.C. 29681.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Thomas McAfee Downtown Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 noon until 1:15 p.m. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
