Mary McDonald Stanton, 73, of Greenville, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at her residence. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Sam McDonald and Losey Elizabeth Bell Chastain McDonald. Mrs. Stanton was a homemaker and a member of Free Life Ministries. Surviving are her husband of forty-four years, Bruce A. Stanton, of the home; four sons, Frant Stanton and wife Barbara, Robert Stanton and wife Jenna, Steven Stanton and wife Annette, and John Stanton; a sister, Sylvia Dooley; three brothers, Richard, Harold, and David McDonald; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Vernon Lee; and three sisters, Edith Tucker, Perlis Pruitt, and Loretta Lewis. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 ? 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be Saturday at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hyland Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Suite 101, Spartanburg, SC 29301. The family is at the residence.
