Mary Schroeder Elias, 66, of 8C Hollywoods Lane, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Lima, OH., she was a daughter of Margaret Kennedy Schroeder and the late Clarence F. Schroeder. Ms. Elias was a retired school teacher with the Greenville County School District and was a member of New Day Christian Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Larry Grogan of Greer, Christe and Lennie Dennis of Mauldin; a son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Shannon Elias of Greenville; three grandchildren, Sylvia Dennis of Mauldin, Melissa Dennis and Zachary Dennis both of Hudson, FL.; a brother, Bill Schroeder of Columbus Grove, OH.; two sisters, Jean Stahl of Chicago, IL., Deborah Centers of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of the Carolinas, PO Box 9108, Greenville, SC 29604 or to St. Francis Hospice, 414-A Pettigru Street, Greenville, SC 29601. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 9, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:30 until 2:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Ohio. The family will be at 398 Crepe Myrtle Drive, Greer, S.C. 29651
