Mary Wanda Lanford

Mary Wanda Lanford, 82, of 134 Hummingbird Ridge, wife of M.L. Lanford, died Friday, October 19, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Florence Riggins Murrell. Mrs. Lanford was a homemaker and member of Augusta Road Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Johnnie F. Lanford and his wife, Marguerite, of Easley, Jimmy N. Lanford of Anderson; four grandchildren, Jason Lanford and his wife, Amy, Jarrett Lanford and his wife, Kellie, Drew Lanford and Chase Lanford; three great grandchildren; and a brother, A.B. Murrell of Greenville and a cousin, Pearl Armstrong. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnnie and Raymond Murrell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Augusta Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 1823 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 21, 2007 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A graveside service will follow at 3:00p.m. in Graceland Cemetery, West.
