Mavis Tucker Moody

Mavis Ducker Moody, 91, of Piedmont Park Road, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Gertrude Leapard Tucker. Mrs. Moody was retired from Dunean Mill and was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Brenda Ducker of Easley; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Ducker of Greenville; a step daughter, Ann Edwards of Greenville; two stepsons, H.O. ?Hank? Moody of Greenville and Carl Moody of Simpsonville; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Paul Ducker; her second husband; Henry Otis Moody; a son, Jerry Ducker; and a brother, Floyd Tucker. Memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642 or Mountain Creek Baptist Church, 255 W. Mountain Creek Church Road, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 26, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
