Melanie Diane Winston, 37, wife of Michael Winston, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of Mark Ramsey and Marilyn Grogan Rhodes.

Melanie attended Resurrection Church as well as Aiken Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, Melanie is survived by her three daughters, Basia Scott, Brina Ramsey, and Brooklyn Ramsey; two sons, Calvin Sullivan and Jayden Byrd; siblings, Elaina Hinton (Blake), Ashton Reagin (Brandon), Caylea Rhodes, Carson Ramsey, Joshua Thomas (Ashley), and Brianna Thomas; nieces and nephews, Greyson and Connor Hinton, Cole, Anistyn and Ariyah Reagin, Edwyn Potts, and Blakely and Raelynn Thomas; and her aunts, Patricia Ramsey, Sharon Maloney, Denise Teseniar, Stana Ware, Janet Ellis, and Kathy Lingerfelt.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast with visitation to follow.

My dear friend Melanie, you will be missed and never forgotten. We have lots of laughs. We’ve had lots of cries. Even though we didn’t talk every day, we knew we could count on each other. Only a phone call away!! I will miss those calls. Your beauty in and out has spilled out over those beautiful talented girls, Basia, Brina and Brooklyn. I remember when you were having Brooklyn and Basia and Brina had a sleepover with David and I. They wouldn’t sleep in the other room so they sleep in the middle of us.
