Michael E. Fowler, 58, of 403 Tripp Road, husband of Sherriell Ann Smith Fowler, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 . Born in Anderson, he was the son of Roberta Richey Fowler of Easley and the late Thomas Raymond Fowler. A graduate of Wren High School, he was a US Navy Veteran of 6 1/2 years, serving three tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the Mt. Springs Masonic Lodge # 302 and was the food service manager for Canteen at the Electrolux Company in Anderson. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are three sons and daughters-in-law, T. Ralph and Dianna Fowler of Greenville; Christopher E. and Ann Fowler of Maryland; and Michael Chad and Stacy Fowler of Easley; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Jaimie, Cathryn, Kelsey, Michael, Mason, Tara and Cole; sisters, Susan Grimes and her husband, Wendell of Easley and Cheryle Whitman of Greenville; a niece, Wendy Hilliard; two nephews, Robbie Grimes and Jeremy Moore; and a special friend, Lynn Fowler. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The family is at the residence. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the 5th Floor Cancer Center of St. Francis Hospital, 1 St. Francis Drive, Greenville, SC 29601.
