Michael J. Howayeck

September 22, 1921 - October 28, 2005
Michael J. Howayeck, 84, of 20 Hawthorne Park Court, husband of Wadid Monsour Howayeck, died Friday, October 28, 2005 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Fall River, MA., he was the son of the late Joseph and Sophie Thomas Howayeck. Mr. Howayeck was the retired owner of Phillips Food Center and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served during WWII and also served in the Reserves. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce H. and Douglas Tinney of Fremont, CA.; and three grandchildren, Brendan, Sean, and Allison Tinney all of California. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8 Gillin Drive, Simpsonville, SC 29681. A Memorial Mass will be conducted Friday, November 04, 2005 at 12:10 pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
