Mildred E. Ryals, 76, of 200 Beverly Lane, Apt H-103, died Saturday, December 30, 2006. Born in Greenville, Mrs. Ryals was the widow of Joseph Clyde Ryals and the daughter of the late Herman and Maggie Bishop Southerland. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts, and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Ryals is survived by a daughter, Geneva Penning of Greer; two sons, Donald Ryals of Taylors, and Ronald Ryals of Greer; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Ann McCauley of Taylors; and a brother, William Southerland of Travelers Rest. She was preceded in death by three children and four sisters. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The family will be at the home.
