Mildred Kelley Atkins

Mildred K. Atkins, 92, widow of Robert C. Atkins, died Thursday, August 23, 2007. Born in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Furman and Jessie Denman Kelley. She was a retired sales clerk at J.C. Penney and was a charter member of Morningside Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Bobbie Crawford of Anderson; a son, Randy Atkins and wife Phyllis of Easley; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Watson of Easley, Betty Woods, and Kay Miller, both of Greenville. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Alvin, Clyde, Jerry and Nolan Kelley; and a sister, Pat Vernell Taylor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Preach Evangelistic Ministries, P O Box 366, Ripley, WV 25271. Funeral services will be at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation prior to the service from 12 to 1:15 p.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
