Mildred Louise Russell, 74, devoted wife of 28 years to the late John Russell, was reunited into his arms in Heaven on Sunday February 20, 2022.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late George Edward and Pearley Mae Lee Wyatt.
Louise was the rock and the glue that held her family together. She was known to be the epitome of a Southern momma; and known for her Sunday meals . She made the worlds best mac and cheese. Louise was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone.
Her legacy will continue on with her two wonderful daughters, Sybil and Peggy Russell; three precious “granddaughters”, Telena, Telvina, and Joanna Sagastume; her loving siblings, Cecil Wyatt, Charles Wyatt and wife, Kathy, Diane Jones; sister-in-law, Daisy Wyatt; several loving nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. She welcomed all of her daughters friends as her own.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Louise was preceded in death by siblings, Danny Wyatt, Wanda Deyton, Trudy Jean Wyatt, Frances Stewart; sister-in-law, Gail Wyatt; and brothers-in-law, Mitchell Jones and Luke Stewart.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be held in Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery in Saluda, NC.
