Mildred Loveland Gordon

Mildred Spivey Loveland Gordon, 85, wife of Furman F. Gordon, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Oakmont West Nursing Center. Mrs. Gordon was the daughter of the late Grady and Emma Dilworth Spivey. She was predeceased by her first husband, Newton G. Loveland. Mrs. Gordon was a retired employee of Belk Department Store and a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Peggy L. Wood and husband Don of Greenville, and Joyce L. Maness and husband Ernie of Easley; two stepsons, Ron Gordon of Rock Hill, and Jerry Gordon of Sacramento, CA; and a stepdaughter, Jackie McAbee of Lyman. Mrs. Gordon was lovingly known as ?MaMa? to thirteen grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at noon Monday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with visitation from 11:00 to 11:45 before the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
