Minnie Elizabeth Brockman

Minnie Elizabeth Brockman, 95, of 2308 Keeler Mill Road, died, Friday, November 30, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late William Martin and Viola Lathem Brockman. Miss Brockman attended Greenville Women?s College, retired from Stone Manufacturing Company and was a member of Berea First Baptist Church. Dedicated to the missionary activities of her church, she served as WMU Director, Sunbeam Leader and GA Leader. She also served as Baptist Women?s Director for the Greenville Baptist Association for 10 years and as Assistant Sunbeam Director for the Greenville Baptist Association. She taught in the Sunday School Department for 74 years and was a member of the Friendship Group of the Church. Survivors are a sister-in-law, Catherine Brockman of Greenville; three nieces, Anne Shoop Jay, of Marietta, GA, Judy Nabers Ed and Ruth Parris Hal of Greenville; a nephew, John Brockman Sandra of Greenville; two great nieces Farrah Shoop and Elizabeth Nabers; four great nephews, Zach Brockman Brandon, Lynn Shoop Meredith, Wilson Parris and Thomas Parris; two great-great nephews Logan Shoop and Zeb Brockman and one great-great niece, Summer Shoop. Miss Brockman was predeceased by three brothers, J. K. Brockman Blanch, Frank Brockman Christine and Jim Brockman and one nephew, Ralph Brockman. Visitation will be held Monday at Berea First Baptist Church from 12:30 ? 1:45 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. A private burial will be in the Lathem Family Cemetery.
