MINNIE LEROY TAYLORGREENVILLE, SC Minnie LeRoy Taylor, 86, of 4 New Dunham Bridge Road, Greenville, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Greenville, she was the widow of the late Robert Taylor, and the daughter of the late John Thomas and Nancy LaFoy Turner. Mrs. Taylor was a foster mother most of her adult life and cared for over 100 children. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Dorothy Couch and Kathy Chambers, of Greenville, Zelda Bishop and Elaine Standard, of Easley; a son, James W. LeRoy, of Pelzer; 16 grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Hiram Coleman LeRoy. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Tanglewood Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at the home of Elaine Standard, 112 Saturn Court, Easley.
