Myrtle Dill Hastings

October 23, 1920 - November 12, 2006
Myrtle Dill Hastings 86, wife of Harold H. Hastings of Country Side Retirement Village, Stokesdale, NC, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Moses Cone Hospital. Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Furman and Dora Dean Dill. Mrs. Hastings was a life-long Weslyan and a member of Liberty Weslyan Church in Summerfield, NC. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Milton Todd of Summerfield, NC; three sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Charlotte Hastings of Simpsonville, Gerald and Julie Hastings of Byron, GA, and Ken and Ann Hastings of Fountain Inn; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Johnson of Conway, and Alethia Bagwell of Greenville. The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted. Memorials may be made to Liberty Wesleyan Church, 15303 US158, Summerfield, N.C. 27358. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will follow at Noon at Graceland East Memorial Park.
