Nannette L. Cox, 93, of Greenville, wife of the late Henry Cox, went home to her faithful God on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Nannette was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church on Blackberry Valley Road where she was always surrounded by loving friends. She was a feisty woman, who believed wholly in God and was loyal and forgiving. She was an encourager to her family. She was never an animal person, but learned to love a dog that took up at her house and he was her faithful companion.
Throughout her life, she loved to travel, plant flowers, thrift store shop, and dress like she was 40 years younger than she was! She loved Hershey kisses and little bottled Cokes. She was a good one and has forever left her impact on OUR hearts. We are grateful to all who loved her and left your impact on HER heart. I’m sure that Pastor Wise will have a Hershey chocolate bar in his pocket as he honors her life and will eat it after the service just to annoy her! She will surely be missed.
She is survived by daughters, Brenda Ashley, Patsy McCall, and Hilda Richard (Steve); grandchildren, Angie McCall, John McCall, Brian Ashley, Glenn Ashley, Todd Richard, and Courtney Mitchell; 8 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Sunday, October 02, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church on Blackberry Valley Road. The funeral service will follow at 1:45 p.m. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West .
