Naomi Christian Hindman, age 4, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Naomi was a light in this dark world. She left a mark on all those she encountered. She was diagnosed at 11 months old with a terminal disease called krabbe leukodystrophy. The doctor’s did not expect her to make it to her second birthday…. but God! Through the trials her beauty and sass always shown through. Naomi had her own unspoken language portrayed through her eyes and perfect timed sighs. She loved spending time with her family being held and adorned with kisses. She enjoyed the beach, being read to, watching Moana and other movies/shows. Naomi’s legacy will live on through all the lives she has touched.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of Michael and Christian Hindman.

In addition to her parents, left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Savannah and Laikyn Hindman; grandparents, Michelle Mills, Linda and Robert Hellams, and Tom and Wint Hindman; great-grandmothers, Sandra Mills and Ion Broadwater; aunts and uncles, Caitlyn Hawkins, Cory Smith, Larry and Alisha Hawkins, Stephen and Ashley Hindman, B.J. Hellams, Chris and Lisa Hellams, Angie and Doug Fowler, Donna and Chris Lollis, and Allen and Darlee Dodgens; as well as many adoring great aunts, uncles, and loving cousins.

Naomi’s family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast. The Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8th in the funeral home chapel followed by burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

We have had the pleasure of getting to know Naomi through Caitlyn Hawkins her beloved aunt and her mama Christian Hindman. We are grief stricken over her passing and our thoughts and more importantly our prayers are with her family. Her young life was not in "vain" she had such an incredible important purpose while short, very impactful. We find ourselves mourning but she is continuing her purpose in a brand new body and home, and we are honored to honor her short life but courageous journey here on earth. Truly reminded me of an Angel always!??
