Nellie Phillips Gillespie

Nellie Phillips Gillespie, 87, of 5 Cambridge Avenue, died Friday, February 09, 2007. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Waldrop Phillips and wife of the late John ?Jack? Henry Gillespie. Mrs. Gillespie was a homemaker and a member of Buncombe Road Baptist Church and the Gideons Women Auxiliary. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Taylor and husband Charles, of Greenville; a son, Michael Henry Gillespie and wife Shelba Jean, of Pisgah Forest, NC; grandchildren, Kim Timmons and husband Shannon of Marietta, Kelly McBride and husband Lance Corp. Ryan McBride of Camp Lejeune, NC, Kerry Newsome of Travelers Rest, Katie Hawkins and husband Justin of Travelers Rest, Tracie Trusler and husband Daniel of Brevard, NC, and Wesley Gillespie, Raleigh, NC; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Newsome, Adriana Burns, Jonathan Timmons, Kally Duckett, Taylor Hawkins, and Emily Trusler. Services will be Sunday at 1:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 12:30 ? 1:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at the residence.
