Orval Maurice Hoats

Orval Maurice Hoats, 84, widower of Ana Laracuente Hoats, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Hospice of the Upstate. Born in Nurenbergh, PA., he was a son of the late Frank Marshall and Edna Hoats. Mr. Hoats was retired from the United Airlines and was a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Myrna H. and Frank Torres of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Rick Torres, Pauline Jarrard, Lisa Unkauf, Francis Collins, Frank Torres, Andrew Torres, and Beatriz Dennis; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a sister, Gloria Tweel of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to Cancer Center of Greenville County, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605 or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
