Otto Freeman Davis

Otto Freeman Davis, 85, formerly of 119 Dogwood Drive, Greer, widower of Lucille Ashmore Davis, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Magnolia Manor. Born in Modoc, IN., he was the son of the late Vernon and Ruby Edwards Davis. Mr. Davis was retired from Ashland Oil and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church for over 20 years. He was also a United States Air Force Veteran having served in WWII. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Ed Fridal of Greer; two sons and daughter-in-law, Steve and Rose Davis of Greenville, Richard Davis of Easley; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Davis; two daughters, Sheila Lowe, Rebecca Davis; a son, Terry Davis; two brothers, George and Paul Davis; and a sister, Ruth Sims. Memorials may be made to Gideons International, PO Box 861 Greer, SC 29651 or Morningside Baptist Church Youth Program, 1115 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October, 29, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Morningside Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 11:30 until 1:15 PM at the church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at 119 Dogwood Drive, Greer, SC.
