Pansy Turner Durham

March 22, 1916 - October 8, 2008
Pansy Turner Durham, 92, widow of Frank Durham, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late William Cornelius and Lola Higginbotham Turner. Mrs. Durham was retired from J. P Stevens Dunean Plant and a member of Edgewood Church of Christ, where she was the oldest member. Left to cherish her loving memory are a daughter, JoAnn Minix of Greenville; two granddaughters, Denise Martenson of Rockford, Il, and Lisa Crisp and husband Michael of Piedmont; a grandson, Kevin Minix of Greenville; four great grandchildren, Andrew and Austin Crisp and Leanna and Lillian Minix; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Oliver; and many loving nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles K. Durham; two sisters, Julia Mae Moody and Jenell Lindsey, and a brother, Elonzo Turner. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Church of Christ, 200 Edgewood Drive, Greenville, SC 29605 or McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29681. Visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown from 12:15 to 1:15 on Friday, October 10, 2008. The funeral will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, West.
