Patricia "Ann" Lindsey, 76, beloved wife of Billy Joe Lindsey, passed away while at home on the morning of Thursday, February 18, 2021.

Born in Greenville, SC, Ann was the daughter of the late Dorothy McGaha Bishop and Raymond Walter Bishop.

She worked at McAfee Manufacturing Furniture Company for many years. While there she began buying and selling antiques as a hobby. This is what she truly loved to do, and it grew into a lifelong career.

Ann was a loving and devoted wife and mother who placed the needs of her family and friends before her own. After the passing of her close cousin Dianne McGaha, Ann and Bill raised her daughter Stacey as their own daughter. She frequently said 'dynamite comes in small packages' when describing herself. Years later this changed to ‘I’m not a Spring chicken anymore.’

Her memory is forever cherished by her husband of 59 years, Billy Joe Lindsey; a loving daughter, Teresa Wolfe and her husband David; her especially close cousin, Stacey Lawrence and her husband Luke and their children, Jasmine, Isaiah, and AnnElise; a sister-in-law, Elaine Bishop; a nephew, Bradley Bishop and his family.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond "Gooner" Bishop; a beloved aunt, Aunt Cordie McGaha and her daughter, Dianne McGaha.

Her funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel with burial following in Graceland Cemetery West. Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.

Ann was one of a kind
The most loving and giving person I have ever meet
Diane and I went to school together and Ann was always helping her no matter what
She will be truly missed

Just lost a truly special friend, we go back so many years. Walked to school together, rain, snow, we always laughed & had fun. We were poor, but so were our friends, we didn’t know it. We made our own games, didn’t have nice clothes, certainly no cell phones. We knew to come in when the street lights came on. We knew to eat what was put before us & not complain. Didn’t have many leftovers but our Moms would share where there was a need. We worked together @ Kash & Karry after school. We had the most fun working on the trash pile, we would sneak cookies & eat them, shared with others, lol. Bill, Ann, Carroll & I worked the Flea Markets, hard work & lots of fun. I did Nursing during the week & Flea Markets on Wed & Sat. We went up North hunting Antiques & Collectibles & sold them @ Auctions. So many memories. Ann truly loved her family, everything was centered around them, Bill, Teresa, Cordy, Diane, Stacey, Luke, Jasmine, Isaiah, Anneliese. Each one had a special place in her heart. Bill & Ann had a special relationship, they worked hard to provide for their family. As Ann’s health began to decline, her family was at her bedside. When she left the Nursing Home & transitioned to Hospice Home Care, she had excellent care. Her primary caregivers were Bill, Teresa & Stacey. Family & friends helped when they could. As I observed Ann’s decline & the excellent care she received, I thought about my Nursing Oath, To do everything possible to help a patient to recovery & if not, to a peaceful easy death with dignity. Her Family afforded her that & I am thankful I got to be a part of this process. Rest In Peace, Ann, we love you.

I remember Ann as an amazing lady full of wit and spirit. She thought the world of her family. Treasure the wonderful memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I only knew Annie for a short time but loved her like a sister! She will be greatly missed. Your mom is now in the arms of Jesus and is suffering no more! I miss you all terribly, but due to being high risk for Covid I have been very careful. One day we will all meet again.

Annie you will be greatly missed.You were such a beautiful lady inside and out.The relationship you had with Bill was awesome.The love you have to Stacey Luke Jasmine Isaiah and Anneliese was so special they all love you so much.You always made all of us so welcome in your home.You and Bill are the sweetest couple I have known.I promise we will take acare of Bill for you.We love and miss you.Rest in peace.

I know this woman was AMAZING!!! Even though I was never able to meet her in person, I know she was a loving, kind mother because she raised a wonderful daughter, Teresa, which I am blessed to call a dear friend...️ We are never able to prepare for the loss of a dear loved one and our families thoughts and prayers are with Teresa, David and the entire family. I pray that God will bring you all the peace and comfort during this difficult time in a way that only HE can. We love y’all...

Ann and her family were a big part of my young years. I remember going on beach trips with Ann and Bill. They loaded their station wagon to full capacity and off we went. Wonderful memories of a truly wonderful woman.

Annie was truly a blessing and a wonderful woman. She was loved by so many and will be missed. We love you Annie and are so glad that you were a part of our lives.
