Patricia “JoAnne” Ducker, 76, beloved wife of 54 years to Charles Ducker, of Greenville, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022.

Born in Liberty, SC, she was the daughter of the late RM and Elizabeth Beatrice Rooker Phillips.

JoAnne attended Carolina High School from 1960-1963 and was a 1964 graduate of Easley High School. During her career, she worked as a secretary for Saco-Lowell and Phillips Fibers, later becoming a paralegal secretary for Haynesworth Law Firm before her retirement. JoAnne was a member of Berea First Baptist Church for many years where she enjoyed participating in church activities and singing in the church choir.

JoAnne was an amazing, unique, loving, and a true southern woman to the core. JoAnne loved her family and built a wonderful life together centered on Christ.

She had a wide range of interests- cooking, skating, and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle! Most of all she loved her Lord, her family and being a wife, mother, and nana. She had a strong heart of gold with an adventurous sweet spirit that will forever be missed. Through every struggle and fight she has kept her faith of God’s word, followed His mission for her life, and she ran an amazing race. She completed her mission and her time on earth, now in the loving hands of her Lord and Savior.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by son, Shane Ducker (Jenny) of Travelers Rest, SC, and a grandson, Waylon Ducker of Travelers Rest, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Randall M. Phillips (Virginia); and a sister, Dorothy Bradberry.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 02, 2022, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Berea First Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

I will miss JoAnne. We have shared many good times and some sad times during the course of our years of friendship. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed having fun. She was a strong, brave person, and I am glad I had the privilege of calling her a friend.
