Patricia Sue Smith Whitmire

Patricia Sue Smith Whitmire, 62, of 35 Walnut Street, widow of Tony Randall Whitmire died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at her residence. Born in Oakdale, LA, she was a daughter of Jean Wilkenson Smith and the late Michael Lybran Smith. Mrs. Whitmire was retired from MCI and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a daughter, Gina Marie Whitmire of Atlanta and a son, Phillip E. Whitmire and his wife, Dawn of Simpsonville; two granddaughters, Ariel and Emily Whitmire; and two sisters, Jean Ann Poston of Edisto Island, SC and Deborah Aldridge of Florida. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown from 11:00 am until 11:45 am with services to follow at 12:00 noon in the chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park. The family is at the home of Phillip E. Whitmire, 222 Waterbury Court, Simpsonville.
