Patsy Southerlin Bishop

Patsy Southerlin Bishop, 73, wife of Dewey A. Bishop, Jr., died Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Coleman Southerlin. Mrs. Bishop was a homemaker and member of New Liberty Baptist Church. She received an Associate?s degree from Anderson College. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Patricia Gresham and husband William of Simpsonville; a son, Brian Bishop of Pelzer, a grandchild; Hannah Gresham; two sisters, Willie Epps and Margaret Stroud; two brothers, Charles Southerlin and John G. Southerlin. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Violet Balding, Annie Johnson, and Jorene Southerlin; and a brother, Eugene Southerlin. Memorials may be made to New Liberty Baptist Church, 1798 N. Hwy 25, Travelers Rest, SC 29690 or Miracle Hill, P O Box 2546, Greenville, SC 29602. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2008 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
