Paul Richard Bussemey, 85, devoted husband to Joan Bussemey, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021.

Born in Terryville,CT, he was a son of the late Raymond and Sophie Bussemey, Sr..

Paul and Joan met while they worked together. Joan thought he had kind eyes. They fell in love and got married. Paul had an amazing heart, he was always taking care of someone, or some animal. He loved feeding the deer and tried hard to get Joan on board with feeding a bear that would come around from time to time; however, that idea never came to fruition. Paul was a member of St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church.

His legacy will continue on with his loving wife of 48 years, Joan; a wonderful son, Nemr Farhat; two precious grandsons, Sami and Michael Farhat; his beloved pets, Angel, Gilbert, Bitzy, and Happy Bussemey.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Drummond; his brother, Raymond H. Bussemey, Jr.; and nephew, Kenneth Drummond.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church with visitation prior from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paul’s memory to St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church Building Fund, 1215 S Highway 14, Greer, SC 29650.
