Paul Thomas Gibbons

Paul Thomas Gibbons,61, beloved husband of 15 years to Shirley Gibbons, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Born in Providence,RI, he was the son of the late David and Sue Cash Gibbons.

Paul was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling; for the most part, taking a cruise or going to the beach was his favorite things to do. For Paul, there was something special about being on an open road and the ocean air. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Paul truly was a family man that enjoyed nothing better than spending time with his loved ones, especially his precious grandchildren. He will be missed by those he leaves behind, but his memory and legacy of love will be carried on by each life he touched.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughter, Blair Gibbons Rice; son, Michael Gibbons (Sara); 18 grandchildren; step-mother, Robin D. Gibbons; step-daughters, Sharlene Hess and Kristen Runyon (Alex); step-sons, Scott Runyon (Doris) and Harry Runyon, III; a sister, Michelle Griffin; and best friends, Butch Bowling and Rusty Burrows.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
