Ray McDaniel

Hobert Ray McDaniel, 65, husband of Melanee McDaniel, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 14, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Hobert and Vivian McDaniel.

After many years of service as a truck driver, Ray retired from Bi-Lo/C&S Wholesale. During retirement, he found joy in attending rock and roll concerts, kayaking, and spending time with his dog, Maggie Mae.

In addition to his loving wife of 44 years, left to cherish his memory are his son, Donnie McDaniel; daughter, Angie Quin and husband, Kyle; granddaughter, Olivia Quin; sister, Betty Ann Gambrell; five brothers; and his father-in-law, Donald Green.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents as well as his grandson, Kellett Quin; and his mother-in-law, Janet Green.

Services were held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast, and Ray was laid to rest in Graceland East Memorial Park.
