Rayford Calvin Crumley, 81, of 4150 Sandy Flat Road, Taylors, died at his home on Saturday, March 17, 2007. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late M. M. ?Bud? and Margie Thompson Crumley, and the husband of Evelyn Pitman Crumley. He retired from Michelin Tire Company. Mr. Crumley served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Faith Temple Church, Taylors, where he was a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Ronnie C. Crumley, of Travelers Rest; two sisters, Dorothy McKinney, of Asheville, NC, and Doris Waters, of Taylors; a brother, Franklin Crumley, of Mayo; four grandchildren, Jessica and Benjamin Crumley, raised in the home, and Amanda Robitalle and Buffie Evans, and two great-grandchildren, Hunter Robitalle and Gabriel Crumley. Mr. Crumley was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Faith Temple Church, with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. The family is at the residence.
